Welcome from Sally Wallace, St. Andrew’s Women’s Ministry Leader

Dear Sisters in Christ:

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the St. Andrew’s Women’s Retreat: Unmistakably His.

Those of you who know me may know that I have 4 kids. Each and every one of my children look alike. And, if you’ve seen my whole family together, you will note that they also ALL look just like their father. The likeness is so uncanny that my daughter, who worked for a season at Chic-Fil-A, often complained that folks in her drive-thru line would often shout out to her – “You must be a Wallace.” Friends, we are all daughters of the King of the Universe. And part of that honor includes the promise that we, throughout our walk on this earth, will develop a family resemblance.

This promise is amazing – but it also raises questions. What, practically, marks us as “His?” How does this look in PRACTICE? Say, for example, in the grocery store? On the phone with that troublesome client? Or, even harder: In the doctor’s office receiving a life-altering diagnosis?

It is my prayer that some of these questions will be answered for you this weekend. Further, I pray that we will all experience an encounter with our Lord that will help equip us along the way!

As I often say, time set aside to focus on the Lord is never wasted. If you are here and tired, I pray the Lord will give you rest. If you come here broken, I pray for your healing. If you come here expectant, I pray you will encounter the Lord in a new and fresh way. God promises to draw near to those who draw near to Him – and you are His. So, dear sister, take a deep breath and ready yourself to see yourself in a new way – as Unmistakably His.

In Him,
Sally
