Men's Trail Hike
The Men’s Hike is a journey of fellowship, worship, and freedom that connects men to the presence and power of Jesus Christ, and it happens with the beautiful backdrop of Pisgah National Forest. You can expect a unique encounter with our Lord through spiritual teachings on the trail, praise and worship around the campfire, and a weekend of camaraderie with your hike brothers. Learn to relinquish control and allow the Lord to speak to your heart and restore your soul.
The Men on the Trail
Although 60-80 men participate in each hike, the group is divided into approximately 20 man teams. Each team is guided through the weekend by their leadership team.
- Spiritual Leader – Leads the teaching provided by the Men’s Ministry Leader
- Music Leader – Leads the team in a time of worship each morning and evening
- Medical Leader
- Trail Leader – Plans and leads the hiking and camping elements
Through your shared adventures on the trail, by the end of the weekend your teammates are transformed into a band of brothers and friendships are forged that will last a lifetime.
Preparing for the Trail
Don’t let the lack of gear, lack of time, or your perception of what it takes to get on the trail keep you from traveling to the mountains. We have hiking gear. We can help you figure out the timing and we can tell you what you need to do to physically prepare for the trail. If you have any questions about what it takes, contact Andy Breaux. (ABreaux@StAndrews.Church).
Through the mighty work of the Lord in men’s lives on the trail, marriages have been saved, battles over addictions have been won, hearts have been restored, and chains that have held men captive have been broken. If this sounds like something you could use in your life, then make coming out on a hike a priority in your life not only for you, but for your family as well.
Starting a Trail Hike in Your Church
St. Andrew’s is pleased to be a resource to other churches and others have adopted the trail hike ministry for their own church. If you are interested in going on a hike with our men in the hopes of beginning a similar ministry in your church, please contact Andy Breaux (ABreaux@StAndrews.Church).
