I was born in Charleston and grew up in Mt. Pleasant. We were members of Hibben Methodist Church but some of my fondest childhood memories are from attending the St. Andrew’s Day School and Vacation Bible School.
I graduated from St Mary’s Junior College in Raleigh (where I became an Episcopalian) and the College of Charleston. I joined St. Andrew’s in the early 90’s and have been attending faithfully ever since. I am on the Altar Guild, have been on the women’s retreat team, and have done several mission trips. I have been a member of the same women’s Life Group for 8 years and host a large couples’ Life Group with my husband Larry. We have been married 20 years and have 3 adult kids and 2 grandkids.
I spent the last 33 years in property management at my company, Adams Properties. I started out managing a townhome complex that my family owned and ended up taking on 15 more communities plus single-family homes. We managed mostly condominium communities and neighborhoods where we had to deal with alligators, serious erosion, mold, bats, hurricanes, security, neighbor conflicts, board of directors and meetings, and of course all things related to financials. Property management isn’t for everyone, but I found it very rewarding. I retired at the end of 2023.
I am an outdoors person. I enjoy exercising, boating, camping, paddle boarding, and hanging out with my family.
I look forward to serving my St. Andrew’s family!
