Psalm 46:10 instructs us to “be still, and know that I am God.” Soaking prayer is when we intentionally make space in our busy lives to rest in the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is a time for us to be nourished, asking the Lord to fill and renew our souls, so our hearts will overflow with God’s joy, peace, and love.
We will begin promptly at 9:45 am with prayer and a reading from Psalms, followed by soaking music until 11 am. Please bring a towel, pillow, or exercise mat so you are comfortable if you decide to rest on the floor. Feel free to fall asleep in sanctified rest.
Please be cognizant of others during this quiet time of reflection and rest. We ask that you arrive at the Chapel prior to 9:45 am to have time to get comfortable and to please stay until 11 am to avoid disrupting others. The easiest access to the elevator and stairs to the third floor of Ridley Hall is via the East Entrance (Children’s Ministry).
