Crack open the New Testament, and you will glimpse a way of life that one recent writer describes as “civically reprobate, ideologically unsound, politically irresponsible, socially discreditable, and really just a bit indecent.” Nowhere is the strangeness of the Christian life displayed more fully than in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Ideal for Christians, as well as friends newish to faith, this course will consider the full-throttle gospel of Jesus — a gospel that holds out, not an idea to be approved, or a feeling to be felt, but a life to be lived.
