Landscape painting is perhaps the most accessible way to learn to paint in oils and a wonderful way to engage the beauty of our world. Charles DeAntonio’s expert guidance takes you through six classes to a finished landscape painting. The class is tailored to those with minimal to moderate experience in acrylic or oil painting and is open to ages 15 years and up. All materials supplied. Aprons recommended.

About the Instructor, Charles DeAntonio

The son of a well-known Charleston portrait painter, Charles was born in New Orleans, LA and grew up in Mount Pleasant where he attended St. Andrew’s Church as a child. His work hangs in private collections as far as California and Italy, as well as public collections such as St. Philip’s Church, the Old Exchange Building, and the Charleston County Courthouse in downtown Charleston. His work was recently the featured in The Kairos Gallery in an exhibit titled “Growing Things Change.” His recent Forum keynote talks can be viewed on our Media page. His students, which vary from complete novices to seasoned artists, have praised his supportive style as well as the accessibility of his teaching.
