  • What is the point of preaching through a book of the Bible?
  • Ephesus (the location of the church Timothy pastored) was a significant city in the ancient world. They withstood false teaching but in the process, it cost them something. What did it cost them (Revelation 2.1-7)? What insight can you gain from this?
  • How can you (we) confront false teachings in the church in a healthy manner?
  • What do you think are the major false teachings plaguing the church today?
  • How can you distinguish between genuine faith and counterfeit faith?
  • What role does the Bible play?
  • What do you do when your beliefs and desires are contrary to what the Bible teaches?
